2025 CHENIN BLANC
Jurassic Vineyard
SANTA YNEZ VALLEY
The Jurassic Vineyard is a gem of Santa Barbara County wine heritage. Planted in 1978 on its own roots, this site in Santa Ynez Valley offers ideal growing conditions for Chenin Blanc with distinct “old vine” character. 2025 was a long growing season, with multiple rain events during ripening. This necessitated dropping damaged clusters, a later than usual harvest and less sugar accumulation in the grapes. The resulting wine is low in alcohol but very expressive as a result of the long hang time, showing a classic Chenin profile.
